Haitian International makes an appearance at the Pen Expo.

A single pen glides across paper to create smooth, fluid lines; yet inside the production workshop, it represents a series of sophisticated manufacturing challenges.

From the stable molding of ink reservoirs to the high-efficiency mass production of multi-cavity pen barrels, everyday writing tools rely on rigorous precision in injection molding, superior plasticization performance, and well-optimized production cycles. At the 11th Hangzhou Fenshui Pen Industry Expo, Haitian International showcased two tailored injection molding solutions dedicated to ink reservoir and marker pen barrel applications.

With customized molding technologies, the company demonstrated the in-depth compatibility between its equipment and pen-making processes, effectively addressing the core production demands of pen manufacturers.

Though a single ink reservoir is tiny in size, multi-cavity mass production imposes stringent requirements on repetitive injection precision. For pen manufacturers, production accuracy must remain consistent throughout high-volume runs, and efficiency can only be achieved on the premise of stable product quality.

To meet such demands, the Haitian MA1700V/520h was showcased with a 16-cavity ink reservoir molding application. Adopting ABS raw material, the solution produces parts with a single weight of 0.8 grams within a 16-second cycle time, delivering high-speed and high-precision injection molding performance for ultra-lightweight components.

Boasting an extensive molding process window, the MAV/h series enables flexible parameter adjustment and perfect adaptation to diverse pen-making procedures. Its outstanding repetitive injection precision guarantees consistent part quality during continuous production and stabilizes yield rates. Combined with high-efficiency short-cycle mass production capability, the equipment effectively supports quality improvement and cost reduction.

The solution enables reliable precision in repeated production and practical efficiency in mass manufacturing. Tailored for the molding of multi-cavity pen barrels and ink reservoirs in the pen industry, it greatly enhances manufacturers’ confidence in the mass production of miniature components and won wide recognition from on-site visitors.

The pen barrel defines the exterior texture and tactile feel of a pen. Uneven color mixing, inadequate injection efficiency, and poor compatibility with multi-cavity molds are common challenges faced by pen manufacturers in actual production, which also place specialized configuration requirements on production equipment.

The Haitian HA2800/1050 Pictor was presented with a 64-cavity marker pen barrel molding application. Using PP raw material, the solution produces 4-gram single parts with a 19-second cycle time, delivering specialized configurations optimized for high-volume multi-cavity pen barrel production.

Equipped with pen-industry-specific plasticizing components, the HA Pictor series significantly enhances plasticizing uniformity, effectively resolves common defects such as uneven color blending, and boosts overall product yield. Fitted with a Sumitomo precision hydraulic pump, the machine achieves substantially higher injection speed to better meet the stringent production requirements of the pen manufacturing industry.

The clamping unit is also fully optimized with a larger mold opening stroke, expanding the adaptability for various multi-cavity molds. In addition, the machine supports integrated Haitian auxiliary equipment functions, enabling interconnected operation across multiple devices and platforms centered on the injection molding machine. It allows remote monitoring of peripheral equipment and streamlines collaborative management of the entire production line.

By refining industry-specific demands and deepening professional manufacturing capabilities, this tailor-made configuration for pen-making processes precisely aligns equipment performance with actual production needs, delivering solid support for superior pen barrel quality and efficient mass production.

Weighing merely a few grams, a simple pen embodies profound manufacturing expertise accumulated over long-term practice. Precision is embedded in every tiny component, efficiency is reflected in continuous mass production, and in-depth process understanding is integrated into every detail of equipment configuration.

Haitian International will continue to deepen its dedication to pen manufacturing applications, further optimizing the compatibility between equipment and production processes alongside customers. The technical insights accumulated from segmented industry scenarios will serve as a solid foundation for consistent product quality and sustained industrial advancement.
