Haitian Precision Wins Third Prize of the Zhejiang Science and Technology Progress Award

On February 9, Zhejiang Province held a conference in Hangzhou on building a first-class innovation ecosystem and fostering the most competitive business environment. At the event, 305 projects were honored with the 2024 Zhejiang Science and Technology Awards. Among the award-winning projects, “Key Technologies and Industrial Application of a Large Gantry 5-Axis Machining Center for Titanium Alloy Processing,” led by Haitian Precision, was awarded the Third Prize of the Zhejiang Science and Technology Progress Award.

As a core pillar of the modern industrial system and a strategic high ground of advanced manufacturing, CNC machine tools play an essential role in national strategic industries such as civil aviation. In particular, CNC machines for titanium alloy machining are emerging as a new focal point of competition in the machine tool industry.

Targeting the demanding requirements of titanium alloy structural part machining for high torque, high precision, and high efficiency, Haitian Precision has made breakthroughs in a number of key core technologies. These include overall machine configuration and structural optimization, the design of critical functional components such as high-rigidity AB/AC milling heads and high-torque motorized spindles, as well as machine geometric and thermal error measurement and compensation technologies. Building on these advances, the company independently developed a five-axis machining center for complex titanium alloy parts, helping address the shortfall in high-performance five-axis equipment and supporting breakthroughs in critical high-end manufacturing capabilities in China.
